Bedminster, Voting time is upon us
Voting time is upon us.
So Let's get off our butts, make the time,(watch for road delays- go figure) and GET To the voting polls!. There are 3 ballot questions for our state, so make sure you read each one, take them to a lawyer or English major, for deciphering , come to a conclusion and place your vote. Bedminster Township District 16 http://www.njvoterinfo.org/?p=d/16.php - just the local guys.. Check them out, Don’t think they’re up for election yet. (better known as Municipalities). These folks go to Trenton .
In district 7 ( That would Be Bedminster in the Congressional race in our state ) here are our candidates for congress. ( that’s the big house in Washington, known as the house of representatives.) Because they come from Our Local district ( like the neighborhood) these folks are the closes voice we have in Washington. http://www.njvoterinfo.org/?p=ge2006/cd7.php so check them out..
State wide we have a Senate race. Here We choose someone to go to the Senate in Washington. Here’s where we get our senator to put pork ( which is like getting funding for a turtle reserve in Bedminster) in legislation of bills like that of ; budget or other important legislative bills ( like homeland security) before the president signs them into law. This is when we can have really weird stuff either built or created for our state. They ( the senators ) also checks the presidential duties.

We Also have our local race in Bedminster. This is the Township Elections. Everything is up for grabs.

However there are also Local Assembly persons ( or Localities ). These folks are in charge of the local government and debate up in our town hall. They do things like work on the Bedminster budget , debate local ordnances, zoning , regulations , ( like Christmas lighting, roads, sewage, med a vac helicopters things like that.) they debated till they pass a vote, then it’s on the books it becomes law.. I guess the mayor has to sign off on this stuff. Yes , There sure is a lot to remember know and understand when it comes to government, and I probably don’t have some stuff absolute but this is the jest of it.
